What was the highlight of The Hive Hotel

Amazing staff and stay at the Hive Hotel.

The Hive Hotel was amazing - the staff were so friendly and helpful all the time! The beds were so comfortable and we all had fabulous sleeps! The sea view room was amazing - it had a porch that you could sit in whilst watching the rain. The rest of the family stayed in a deluxe villa and standard room, both comfortable. The daily breakfast buffet was amazing with local and western foods to choose from. The beach was amazing- the water was crystal clear and warm. We were having swims from 7am. The location was ideal and 2 minute walk into the main road where all the restaurants and shops were.

Small pool and sunbed area not swept so lots of sand on tiled areas. Not close to supermarkets

It's a good hotel.

I liked the location of the hotel and the staff. Special thanks to housekeeping, they always cleaned it up clean.

The tour was more expensive than other intermediaries. Although they said they made a 10% discount.Breakfast was monotonous.

A good 3 star hotel

The breakfast buffet was good , easy beach towel and chair availability on a nice stretch of beach We did not experience any bugs ( vs other reviews) Used the laundry service and were happy

The rooms feel a bit dark Shower water pressure was inconsistent Our room was backing on to the road and we could hear the street sometimes There was a stack of mattresses outside by the stairs to our room, the entire stay , which gave a bad impression

Great location, superb beach, friendly comfortable hotel.

This hotel was just what we needed, it was comfortable and relaxed, the staff where super friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, it was right on the beach and it was located almost in the centre of the beach where it was easy to reach all areas around it. The pool was right on the edge of the beach so easy to go into the sea and then swim afterwards. it was also easy to go out to a great selection of restaurants at night, there are so many within walking distance from the hotel. The Lamai Night Market was about 15 minutes walk form the hotel and the best for really good value food. This market was really relaxed and had a great atmosphere with so many choices of different food and good value. There was so much choice we visited this market twice. I wish we could have stayed longer.

There we no negatives I can think of.

An oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Lamai.

An oasis in amongst the hustle and bustle of Lamai. Rustic room with comfortable bed and generous balcony. Rooms set amongst lovely tropical gardens giving a sense of isolation. Great dining area and pool right on the beach. English breakfast which was fine with me. Nui was excellent at arranging trips and transport. Made to feel very welcome.

Impressively run hotel with excellently trained staff in beautiful gardens right on the beach

An impressively run hotel with excellently trained staff where you are accommodated in individual spacious rooms in carefully tended tropical gardens located right on Lamai Beach but also with its own beach side swimming pool and yet it is also just minutes away from the town centre. They employ a lot of staff here and it shows - rooms cleaned daily, gardens tended to, laundry service, car and motorbike hire all available. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism of the staff and in particular with Nui, Witt and Tarn. Highly recommended, particularly at such keen prices.

Good location, lovely Staff, nice room and close to beach

Saw quite a few people arguing over sunbeds, people just leaving towels on them and not using them so really not enough sunbeds to go round if pool area was busy.

Great stay, very friendly staff- right on the beach!

Staff were very friendly, beach front, was able to do laundry there- next day service very quick and neat! Great room size, comfortable bed.

Pool was small, was quite hard to get a Sun lounger by 10am. But freed up around 3.

Beautiful and can’t wait to go back.

Walk straight out into lovely clear warm water. Great pool. Plenty of sunbeds. Rooms were made up daily. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Asked for a mattress softener and was put on immediately. Breakfast was good. Close to Main Street. Quiet hotel. Great value.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can ask on the reception to rent a motorcycle and they will arrange it for you. The location is very good, near everything. The pool view and breakfast were amazing!! ????

The room is quite old, it needs an upgrade, and the shower does not have much pressure. If you stay on the 1st or 2nd floor there are no elevators, you need to take the stairs. We ask to wash our clothes but some clothes have shrunk ????

Amazing sea view while enjoying the breakfast

Polite and prompt service from the staff. Amazing sea view while enjoying the breakfast. We enjoyed the warm pool and a few steps to swimming in the sea.

Music from nearby bars didn’t stop until around 4am.
