Good sized room although now in need of a refurb.

Small pool and sunbed area not swept so lots of sand on tiled areas. Not close to supermarkets

An oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Lamai.

An oasis in amongst the hustle and bustle of Lamai. Rustic room with comfortable bed and generous balcony. Rooms set amongst lovely tropical gardens giving a sense of isolation. Great dining area and pool right on the beach. English breakfast which was fine with me. Nui was excellent at arranging trips and transport. Made to feel very welcome.

Good location and close to beach

Good location, lovely Staff, nice room and close to beach

Saw quite a few people arguing over sunbeds, people just leaving towels on them and not using them so really not enough sunbeds to go round if pool area was busy.

Impressively run hotel with excellently trained staff in beautiful gardens right on the beach

An impressively run hotel with excellently trained staff where you are accommodated in individual spacious rooms in carefully tended tropical gardens located right on Lamai Beach but also with its own beach side swimming pool and yet it is also just minutes away from the town centre. They employ a lot of staff here and it shows - rooms cleaned daily, gardens tended to, laundry service, car and motorbike hire all available. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism of the staff and in particular with Nui, Witt and Tarn. Highly recommended, particularly at such keen prices.

Great stay, very friendly staff- right on the beach!

Staff were very friendly, beach front, was able to do laundry there- next day service very quick and neat! Great room size, comfortable bed.

Pool was small, was quite hard to get a Sun lounger by 10am. But freed up around 3.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can ask on the reception to rent a motorcycle and they will arrange it for you. The location is very good, near everything. The pool view and breakfast were amazing!! ????

The room is quite old, it needs an upgrade, and the shower does not have much pressure. If you stay on the 1st or 2nd floor there are no elevators, you need to take the stairs. We ask to wash our clothes but some clothes have shrunk ????

Lovely hotel with beautiful pool steps away from the beach. We also enjoyed that breakfast was available till 11.

they gave little fruit for breakfast. as soon as they filled it, it was immediately dismantled and you had to wait for the next round and so on and on

Our New Favourite in Lamai!!!

Great villas, beautiful pathways with tropical fauna, close to busy shopping/restaurants/nightlife that's innocent ... all shops are open and Lamai township is exciting and vibrant again, came last year and it was a dead with most shops closed, even 7/11. Staff are brilliant especially Phyo & Mei, breakfast is sufficient, coffee machine is brilliant, 8 - 11am. Pool and beach/shade & umbrellas are great, restaurant is located perfectly with outlook of pool and beach. Swimming is fabulous with deep, clear ocean and huge net out from The Hive. Stayed 5 nights and have booked another 5 nights in October. 10/10

Everything about this place was great. At the beach and so many restaurants around. The people at reception were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Clean and spacious rooms, really clean. Loved our stay here.

A great location, amazing staff

The Hive is a decent hotel with an absolutely superb location - right in the heart of Lamai and on top of the beach. You cannot ask for a better spot to explore Lamai and the surrounding island. Another big highlight of the trip was the staff - they were all so friendly and helpful, I cannot rave about them enough. Wifi was also good throughout the hotel and the hotel breakfast/restaurant was also good.

Our only complaint would possibly be the basic amenities in the room. The first room we stayed in was okay but was very basic and lacking in a number of areas, particularly the bathroom (no shower shelf, shower head was too low - even for us short people etc) and the pillows were execptionally hard. However, we got to experience a different room on the same floor (due to a minor plumbing issue which staff dealt with superbly). It was ultimately the same room but with what looked like a fairly newly renovated bathroom, better aircon and fluffier pilows. If this had been our first room I'd have had no complaints. It appears the hotel may be in the process of updating rooms one at a time

Perfect end to a 2 weeke holiday travelling.

Perfect location on the beach, infinity pool was lovely. The rooms were a good size and clean, with lovey greenery around. The beach was clean and safe.

Very efficient and friendly staff. Always ready to be helpful! The location was excellent, the anti jellyfish net brilliant! The only hotel that had one!!!! Breakfast buffet offered something for everyone.

Absolutely loved our 9 nights at the Hive Hotel’ would love to return again and stay longer!

The Breakfast was superb … loved the fresh fruit, eggs, bacon all fresh and beautifully cooked. Especially enjoyed fresh coffee from machine. The restaurant is stunning by the pool and sea. Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Thank you!
